Chapter 45 Brenda Learns Of The Attack
- I wandered around my house; I felt restless, and I knew I needed someone to talk to. Brenda has been busy lately taking care of Alexa and her mother. I wouldn't know if she would have time to spare. Even if she had time to spare, I don't know if I could tell her about Dominic. I wanted to be with Brenda, but I couldn't see her get hurt, either. If only Dominic wasn't such a jerk. I decided to take in a deep breath and relax. I needed to think straight, besides; I wasn't sure if she would have the time to hear me out, eventually.
- I walked towards Alexa’s house, given that she had been taking care of Alexa and her mother. I had made up my mind to talk to Brenda, even if I suddenly lost the courage to tell her that seeing her would be enough for me.
- Even if that meant I would be haunted by the secret within me, I was willing to keep the smile I cherish the most from turning upside down. I stood in front of the door, unsure of whether to knock or turn back. I had finally reached my destination, but I was hesitant. My heart skipped just from anticipating Brenda’s sight, but I was also hesitant and undecided about meeting her as well. I left a gentle knock on the door, patiently waiting for a response.
