Chapter 9 A Friend

• Serena’s POV
• I don’t know for how long I was asleep but as I wake up, fluttering my eyes open, I realize I’m in an unfamiliar room. I force myself to stay awake and alert and as I gaze around the room, I realize that I am in Lucian’s room. I could never forget this room; I could never forget the first time I walked into these four walls.
• That was the day Lucian told me what I am supposed to believe is the story of my ancestors. The day he told me why the rogues will always be offered as sacrifice. I remember my vow to put an end to it, to stop the killing. I swore to myself that if I have to go down then the alpha and his son would go down with me. I have no idea how I am supposed to go about this plan, but they cannot be all powerful. Everyone has a weakness and once I find theirs, they will regret ever meeting me.
