• “Where the hell is she!?” I scream in my father’s face as I continue the torture. Surprisingly, although the man is my flesh and blood, I feel no remorse or pity toward his screams of pain. He has done so much damage, hurt so many people, and it’s time he gets a taste of his own medicine.
• I can see that he is going to break soon. Wolfsbane not only has negative effects on werewolves; it messes with the mind too, making us more vulnerable to persuasion. Since my father has some sacrificial power in him, he is able to resist my compulsion. As the new alpha, I have the ability to compel other wolves to obey me through the authority of an alpha, but my father is resisting me.
