Chapter 25 Grief, Anger, Resentment

• Serena’s POV
• As soon as Ian and the soldier who went out to get my parents are back in the cage, Paris, Olive, Brendan and I run towards them impatiently. Brendan told me that Paris sent out Ian and a few guards to go get my parents before Lucian and his father got to them. Right now, it’s almost completely dark outside and majority of the population here at the resistance are in their rooms and I’m grateful for that because I am not used to them staring at me yet.
• They’re all very nice people but they ask a lot of questions that are very triggering to me. Brendan, Paris and Olive are behind as I basically stumble into Ian, pushing him and the few guards aside to get a good look behind them. I’m breathing heavily as a million thoughts go through my head.
