Chapter 18 Underground

• Serena’s POV
• I groan as my body hits the ground in all the wrong places. My shoulder gets grazed on something that feels like a thorn and I know the wound on my shoulder just opened. I can feel hot blood trickle down my arms as I try to focus my blurry vision. I must be bleeding from my head too because I feel the same familiar hot liquid on my forehead.
• I groan and wince in pain as I force my body to get up. I need to act fast. I need to make sure Brendan is okay because he has done so much to make sure that we get out safely. I cannot let him down. He was there for me and now I need to be there for him. He managed to put some distance between us and Lucian but I know they’re searching for right this instant.
