Chapter 52 I'll Protect You

• Serena’s POV
• After the scene in Lucian’s room is cleared up, Reece gives both of us privacy and now I am very aware of the fact that I’m alone with Lucian in his room. My chest rises and falls as I try to make sense of everything that just happened. I blink rapidly as I try to wrap my mind around what just happened.
• I let out a small gasp as Lucian picks me up bridal style and walks with me to his bed. I’m too shocked, too surprised to protest or say anything to him. He lays me down gently on my back in his bed and then brushes a lock of hair out of my face. I haven’t felt the mate bond yet but as his fingers make contact with my face, I can basically feel him in every fiber of my being. My body trembles with a foreign feeling I have never felt before.
