• “We did it! We actually did it.” Reece says as he, Lucian and I sit around the dining table for breakfast. I can’t remember the last time I sat on a table like this and just ate peacefully. It makes me think of my parents and all the breakfasts we shared together but I quickly shake away the thought. Whenever I think about my parents, I want to cry and I am not in the mood to shed tears today after the victory we won yesterday.
• Lucian still has a dangerous and stern look on his face like he always does, but his shoulders seem more relaxed. Since he marked me, I haven’t been able to meet his eyes.
