Chapter 75 Killing Himself (Seventy Five)

  • Logan walked unsteadily up the stairs one by one to the second floor of his mansion. He finally came back to this place after a full week of working to find evidence of Cooper Smillow's involvement in the Las Vegas shootings. He flew to Las Vegas after he managed to bully Cooper, then he worked and worked until he didn't realize he had spent too long in Las Vegas. But mostly, it was because of his promise to Maria. He felt responsible for solving the shooting case and punishing the people who killed Weston.
  • Now, he was feeling exhausted. He had never felt this tired and was eager to go home for the years he lived his life as a loner, independent man. His head repeatedly showed pictures of Riley waiting for him at home. Even though they were just fake pictures created by his wild imagination, he was still happy and anticipating his return today. But, Riley never waited for him to come home. She was happier if he wasn't home than if he was home and bothering her with disgusting things.
  • Logan walked down the hall on the second floor and past his own bedroom. He walked to the door next to his room, then slowly opened the knob. The creaking sound of the door didn't bother him at all. Instead, he wanted the owner of the room to know of his arrival tonight and to greet him. But no. The owner of the room was still sleeping in the middle of her comfortable bed. Her whole body was wrapped in a blanket. Her arms poked out from under the blanket. She was wearing a very modest yellow long-sleeved pajama. Her brown hair was scattered in a mess on her pillow. Her lips were pursed tightly, her breath moving up and down regularly. She was in an amazing deep sleep.
