Chapter 35 Lovely Escape (Thirty Five)

Betty paced the kitchen with nervousness and stress all over her. She hadn't called Logan to tell him about Riley's disappearance. She hadn't done anything since then but paced back and forth staring at the clock every five minutes to reflect on how long it had been for Kaella and Jacob to go shopping. The two of them should have been home an hour ago. Betty knew the places Kaella usually went for shopping. Those places have been their regulars for shopping all along. Kaella usually ordered by phone, and the sellers had already prepared all the shopping items they needed.
Betty sighed softly. She really couldn't hold on any longer. She would call Logan and tell him about Riley's disappearance. But she still hoped that Riley might be shopping with Kaella. Riley must have been bored by being cooped up in the house all day and wanted to go out to get some fresh air. After all, Riley had no one out there and nowhere to run.
But what if Riley wasn't with Kaella and Jacob? Maybe she ran away and tried to seek help from the first person she met on the street.
