Chapter 34 Betrayal (Thirty Four)
- Betty found the house too quiet and still without Kaella's noisy voice. He was supposed to go shopping with Kaella in town, so she wouldn't be bored in this house alone. Unfortunately, she had the task of looking after Riley and making sure she had the best facilities in the house. It was like eating three times a day that shouldn't be missed.
- She poked her head out the kitchen window. The cold and damp air hit her face fiercely. The sound of leaves and branches rustling in the wind echoed in the backyard. Betty walked to the doorstep only to see the gazebo and swimming pool very dirty. Autumn was always the season to work hard. She had swept the dry leaves many times, cleaned the gazebo, and drained the pool water to keep it clean. But the leaves had made all her hard work go to waste, and now she had to do it again to get the yellow leaves out of her sight.
- "Eh, it's lunch time," Betty muttered to herself.
