Chapter 72 Revealing The Truth (Seventy Two)

• Logan took a deep breath, enjoying the rush of nicotine in his veins mixed with his rising adrenaline. Suddenly, he threw his cigarette on the floor. He shot one of Cooper's men quickly. The man fell backwards on the floor. Gunshots immediately filled Cooper's study. Logan had knelt on the floor. He knocked down one other person with a shot in the face. Then he rolled forward, using a bookshelf for cover. He quickly shot two of Cooper's men at once as they showered him with useless gunfire as the bullets missed Cooper's bookshelf. Only one person left. The man moved quickly to make a short-range shot. Logan threw the chair at the man. He managed to dodge it. Logan fired one shot, but it missed the wall behind him. Logan then ran around Cooper's desk, standing very close to Cooper so he could use Cooper as a shield.
• “Your boss will die if you shoot me,” Logan hissed sharply.
• His breath smelled of cigarette smoke as he spoke next to Cooper who was staring at him intently. The muzzle of the gun was right at Cooper's temple, and it was ready to shoot him at any moment.
