• It had been a week since Logan had brought Riley back to New York. Ever since they arrived at the house and Logan kicked her into her room, Riley hadn't seen Logan again until now. Logan wasn't at home. Logan went somewhere. According to rumors she had heard, Logan was finishing some work in Las Vegas and Italy. There was no clear information about where Logan went. Her life for one week became very calm. The fear and alertness of Logan's appearance in the middle of the night to sneak into her room was gone. At first, she was afraid that Logan would sneak into her room and rape her. But luckily, Logan was busy with his work, and Logan gave her a very long time to rest in peace.
• And Logan seemed to have brought Jacob with him. She saw the gatekeeper changed into someone else. In the big house he lived alone with Betty. Actually, Kaella was still living there, but she didn't meet Kaella because Logan forbade her. Betty became very mean to him if she started whining about letting her meet Kaella. She said she would not betray Logan's trust. And she warned her about dozens of bugs and small cameras installed in every corner of the house. She had once thought about destroying the cameras, so Logan couldn't watch her from afar.

Betty took good care of her, they chatted about everything, she taught her to cook special menus, and Betty took her boredom away by taking her to play in Logan's yard covered in fallen yellow leaves. She had to appreciate Betty's kindness by acting like a sweet girl and not getting Betty into trouble.
