Chapter 67 Drained Your Energy (Sixty Seven)
- Riley slowly opened her eyes. She exhaled slowly, knowing where she was now. The smell of laundry detergent that lingered so strongly on the sheets that covered her bed didn't in the least make her forget that she was still at the motel in Desert Palms. Logan fell asleep right next to her on his stomach. His head drooped to the right, his back right in front of her sleeping while hugging the pillow.
- It was the first time she had woken up with Logan beside her. Usually, Logan left her immediately after making love and only came to her room the next day. But this time it was different. Logan was still fast asleep next to her. His back moved up and down regularly, his arms wrapped around the pillow. The bandage she had changed last night was still clean. No bloodstains seeping through. And that was a good sign. Riley didn't want to see any more blood around her.
- Her eyes rolled to Logan's sturdy back. At that time, there were many reddish scars that were starting to fade. Riley was curious about the scars. How could Logan have that much? Her hand reflexively moved to touch one of the red scars right in front of her eyes. All this time she didn't notice the scars because she closed her eyes tightly when Logan moved on top of her. Last night, she also didn't notice these scars because her focus was only on Logan's face. He looked so proud and satisfied when he managed to persuade her to make love to him again.
