Chapter 29 Impregnating Riley (Twenty Nine)
- Riley's body stiffened when she heard the sound of the soles of Logan's shoes hitting the marble floor loudly. He must be walking across the hall to the dining room. Her feelings were filled with vigilance and fear. The breakfast of pancakes and bacon in front of her had become unappealing, and she had lost her appetite just because she was about to come face-to-face with Logan. They haven't seen each other since last night. Logan would probably explain what happened to her the night before she passed out. But maybe not. Remembering how Logan's character was. And Riley had seen the darkest side of Logan, which was horrible.
- The squeaking sound of a chair hitting the floor startled Riley. She had been daydreaming so much that she didn't realize Logan sitting across from her seat, looking as arrogant as ever and looking at her expressionlessly. Riley tried to avoid Logan's eyes, which were as dark as the night, by trying to look busy with her meal. But she didn't even have an appetite at all. She lost her appetite because the memory of last night came back and poisoned her brain again.
- "How are you today?"
