• I peel my eyes open and see a little bit of light peeking through the cracks of the blackout curtains. I can’t express how much I love those. Waking up in most darkness. Just like the man holding me. I smile as I turn and watch him. He’s peacefully sleeping right now. We managed to find our way back to the room at who knows what time after hours of his work and me finishing my book.
• He looked so peaceful when he slept. Like none of the worries of the day didn’t exist in this small bit of time while he was asleep. His mind drifted to more peaceful places than to work.
