• I hear a phone ringing but when I turn to look it’s not mine. Lucas picks his with a ‘yeah.’ For some reason though I don’t turn back around. Instead I stare dead at Lucas as his face falls and his eyes trail up to mine. His eyes widen before he turns and rushes to the living room.
• I can’t take my eyes off his actions because they’re scaring me. I’ve never seen him like this as long as I’ve known him now. He frantically searches for something. Then he tosses a pillow and grabs the TV remote which I had forgotten to move back to the coffee table. He switches on the TV and quickly sifts through TV channels till he finds the one he’s looking for.
