- Nancy scratched her neck. “I know it’s impossible for Caleb and I to have a relationship. Nonetheless, I can’t help but feel excited as soon as I know I will get to meet him. Shelly, I won’t be sending you off tonight. You’ll have to go alone. Also, I’m done with this cup of coffee. I need to go prepare.”
- Usually, Nancy was a rational person who acted swiftly and decisively during work. Yet, Caleb’s presence made her lose touch with her principles, which caused her to act like an imbecile again and again. Caleb told me I was his Achilles’ heel, but the irony was that he was the same to Nancy.
