Chapter 135 How Could This Be a Coincidence?
- Roy was dressed in a blue checkered shirt and a gray, woolen trench coat. He looked like his usual self, and he didn’t look like someone who had just been in a car accident at all. I felt my chest tightening as I turned back to give James a cold glare. “What’s going on?”
- He quickly responded with a light-hearted chuckle. “What a small world, Shelly! Isn’t this such a coincidence? I bumped into Roy the moment I stepped into the shop. He was meeting one of his business clients. I asked him to join us for a meal, and he agreed to it.”
- How could this be a coincidence? Did Roy just happen to be meeting his client on the same day that James asked me out for a meal? I could tell that James had arranged this on purpose even if I were to use my big toe to analyze the situation. James was a kind and helpful man, but he had to know where to apply these good traits. I couldn’t believe that he forced Roy and me to meet one another when I was trying my best to stay away from Roy.
