Chapter 18 Are You a Loser or What?

• All of my colleagues widened their eyes when they first saw Roy. The female staff members, in particular, had greedy looks in their eyes that made them seem like they were prepared to eat him up. I wasn’t in the mood to care about my colleagues though. I simply stared at the way Lilian was grabbing onto Roy, yet I didn’t feel sorry for him at all. If anything, I felt like it was the universe’s way of giving him what he deserved. It’s karma for using me to go against the woman that you didn’t want to get married to earlier. • Roy’s eyes landed on me, and he seemed as if he was trying to guess what was on my mind. Instead of losing his temper, he responded to Lilian in a hearty and friendly voice. “Are you sure I’m Shelly’s secret boyfriend, old woman?”
• “I’m sure of it. You brought her out for a whole night, and you took her away twice. I remember all of it!” Lilian’s eyes were filled with hatred. I suspected that she would have punched Roy if she weren’t a petite woman who was two heads shorter than him.
