Chapter 130 Meeting Roy
- I paid Madam Worcestershire her wages before the trip to Lycoria, and she went back to work as a caretaker. After Nancy was gone, I was all alone in the house, so I paid tribute to my mother and read her favorite novel to her. It was a peaceful life, one that I never imagined I could have.
- Suddenly, someone knocked on my door, and I turned to it. Nancy has my house’s keys, so who’s out there? I went to the door and looked out the peephole. Since the guest wasn’t standing right in front of the peephole, all I could see was her profile, but I knew it was a woman.
- I hesitated for a moment, then I opened the door, and the person who greeted me was Linda. I welcomed her in and poured her a glass of water. She took it from me and placed it on the coffee table. “I tried to call you after your case with Lena, but you switched your number, so I looked into your file and came to your house, but you were always out.”
