Chapter 63
- Lucy was utterly drained after the non-stop festivities that had occurred over the past three days. She hadn't had a chance to see Winona McKellen for a while and had intended to visit her once she had some rest. The responsibility of catering to guests had left her feeling depleted and weak. Yet, she still yearned to see Winona. After witnessing how her mother had treated Winona that day, she was worried that Winona might still be nursing her emotional wounds.
- She reclined on the couch in her room, resting her hands on her head. She didn't realize when she had slipped into a deep sleep. It wasn't until she woke up with a start that she realized she had been sleeping just a short while ago.
- Her mind was haunted by the nightmare she had just had. Although she didn't see the face of the person in the dream, she could sense a connection between them. The person was held captive and was pleading for freedom. She woke up with a heavy heart, hoping that the dream wasn't related to someone she knew.
