• A full month had passed since Noel last saw his mate, Winona McKellen. He was aware that his return to the Skyland Pack was scheduled for a later date, but he had hastened his affairs to reunite with her sooner.
• "Alpha, what's our strategy for the merger tomorrow? Wouldn't it be more prudent to wait until after the contract display? Your absence might not be well-received," Kevin attempted to convince him to postpone his departure.
