  • "So, how did the trial go?" Lucy finally broke the silence that had enveloped the dining table for some time after the food had been served. Her mother glanced over at Winona, probably seeking permission with her eyes to share the details. Winona just nodded a bit nonchalantly, as if she couldn't care less whether her mother shared the information or not.
