Chapter 9

• The next day arrived swiftly, too swiftly for Roselle's liking. So swiftly, in fact, that she found herself cursing the sun for rising so early. The celestial body just didn't know when it was not welcomed.
• After yawning like she had just emerged from hibernation, she got up and went to the bathroom to freshen up. The only reason why she got up so early was because of Merline. The sooner she went to the police, the quicker she would be able to find Merline.
• Since she did not change into her pajamas at night, as they were inside the laundry basket with all the other clothes and Dylan had stolen them, she slept in her borrowed clothes. Once she woke up, she put on her robe with kittens on it over her shirt and jeans. And that was how she dragged her sleepy self to the kitchen for some coffee.
