• Dylan's departure without her didn't sit well with Roselle. He had stormed off while still upset with her, and now she was left in the dark about his return. She had been eager to accompany him, but he had denied her. She wished he wasn't so self-absorbed and would allow her to see her sister again; she could only wonder how Marianne was coping without her and her beloved snowglobes. Was Dylan's twin aware of Marianne's fascination with snowglobes? If so, did he withhold them from her just as Dylan had done with her teddy bears?
• "Hey, why are you just sitting in bed?" Renz questioned as he entered her room.
• "Dylan left for Italy without me. I really wanted to accompany him, but he didn't permit me." She sulked. This island was so monotonous, there was hardly anything to do. If Dylan had allowed her to join him, she wouldn't be so bored, nor would she be missing her twin.
