• Good heavens, the unsettling doctor had made off with her clothes. Now there was one more thing she was going to report him for when she went to the police.
• Since she was bereft of her own clothes and in dire need of a bubble bath, she had no choice but to borrow one of Merline's outfits. The only hitch was, her clothes were strictly off-limits to Roselle, and if Merline saw her wearing anything that belonged to her, she would have a fit. However, they had sort of reached an agreement that Roselle could borrow any of Merline's outfits as long as they were a year old and only those which were bought from local brands. The high-end brands like Prada and others were strictly off-limits; Roselle wasn't allowed to keep any; Merline cherished her clothes, shoes, and accessories more than she cherished Roselle.
• Well, her teddy bears were off-limits to Merline. In fact, they were off-limits to everyone.
