Roselle couldn't comprehend what his issue was, she had merely spoken the truth, her parents hadn't raised her to be deceitful. Dylan just didn't know when to let things slide. She wished he did, it would save them a lot of unnecessary conflict. But first things first, she had to consult the doctor who was responsible for Dylan's care. The man was reckless, but she wouldn't be. And he had mentioned something about seeking revenge. What was his problem? Why couldn't he just be cordial to her for once?
With a smile, Dylan entered the room causing Roselle's heart to flutter in her chest. Why did he smile at Merline and not at her? She swore, he was the reason why her heart was getting so much exercise. If it wasn't for Dylan and his alluringly mysterious looks, her heart would be idling around.
She glanced at Merline to see her looking at Dylan as if she'd seen a specter. The way she turned pale and her eyes clouded with fear had Roselle worried about her and the baby. Why was she so terrified of Dylan? Had he done something to her? If he had, then Roselle would confront him. She couldn't harm him since her heart ached every time his lifeless face came to her mind.
