Chapter 23

• The cafe was unusually bustling, which was odd considering it was a weekday and most people should've been at work. Venus and Roselle were darting around, trying to ensure no customer left due to 'slow service'.
• Roselle was grateful for the busy day. The multitude of customers kept her engaged and prevented her mind from wandering to Dylan every ten minutes; the man was not a positive influence on her.
• She approached another table, ready to take the customer's order. Her legs were starting to ache from constantly being on the move, and she didn't notice who was seated at the table.
