• Mr. Byrd's truck rumbled as it pulled up to the cabin. Navigating close behind, Zoe was driving her own car. As she opened the door, Zoe stepped out, ensuring her keys were deep in her pocket. She closed the car door, and Zoe took the time to look around the place. Biting her bottom lip she reminded herself that things were not going to end up like her dreams. That she was in control of what happens next. Mr. Byrd yelled her name to gain her attention. Jogging to catch up, Zoe followed Mr. Byrd closely behind.
• “This is just a formality,” he said, bending down at the fire pit. "Remember everything we spoke about!"
