Chapter 24

• ~ July 31st - 4:40 PM ~
• Remi was already chattering about what was happening at the cabin and what she had overheard with a few of her brothers when Delilah approached them. At first glance, Remi could tell that her sister had done something. What that was, she did not know. Knowing Delilah's personality, Remi had figured that her older sister was up to no good. Clenching her fists and placing them on her hips, Remi confronted Delilah, "What did you do, Delilah?"
• Propped against a sturdy tree, Delilah noticed the concern in Remi's eyes and the fear in her tone. She cast a playful glance at her little sister and their five brothers. "Oh, relax! I didn't lay a finger on your little human!" A slow smile grew on her face. "The others... not so safe!" Mischief spread across her features. "I need to know where Father is," she said sharply. "I need to have a few words with him." Her tone was serious.
