Chapter 16

• ~ July 31st - 3:00 PM ~
• Rodger had dropped off the firewood, and Zoe was busy organizing the logs into a neatly arranged pile close to the fire pit. With their teamwork, the task took no time to finish. Glancing around the area with a smile, Rodger declared, “I think we’re done organizing everything.” He then offered his hand to help Zoe up from the ground. “How about we go inside and relax?” he suggested.
• Leading the way to the cabin, Zoe noticed a shadow beginning to fall over the cabin's roof. When they reached the door, Rodger held it open and let Zoe enter first. After she stepped inside, he pulled out a chair for her to sit in, giving her a better view of the outside through the window. He then took the chair that was across from her.
