Chapter 35 Restriction

  • By the time Sia and Estrella wriggled out of the restaurant, the sky was already encompassed by darkness and was decorated with a crescent moon and grey colors of the stars. Both women drank to their hearts content and Sia was feeling a little tipsy.
  • When they reached the garage, Sia’s driver opened the back passenger’s seat for her.
  • “So…we go…going see tomorrow, right?” Sia slurred, giggling.
  • “You want us to meet tomorrow? I’m not certain if it'll work. Ethan and I have a few things to work on.” Estrella rambled although Sia didn’t grasp all she said. She just nodded and waved a goodbye to Estrella before she plodded to her own car.
  • Meanwhile, Danika and Isabel were in the car and saw everything. Sia’s car and also her driver and that made them gasp in surprise.
  • “Danika…that’s a Bentley. It’s a fucking Bentley. Who drives Bentley in this fucking country?” Isabel blurted, her eyes pinned at Sia’s car that’s rolling out from the parking lot.
  • Danika was equally surprised by what she saw. A Bentley and a driver that wore a uniform.
  • “Is she queen Elizabeth!?” Isabel asked, still haven’t gotten over what she saw.
  • Danika shot her a death glare and scrunched up her lips. “She’s just a whore. A fucking whore that has a big sugar daddy.” Danika croaked, jealousy eating her up. “Whoever her sugar daddy is, he’s a big fish. I’d like to know who that sugar daddy really is.”
  • After saying this, Danika sparked her engine, it roared before she rolled back into the road, following Sia behind.
  • While inside the car, Sia’s mind was reeling back to Estrella’s words.
  • “What if he said that for a reason?”
  • ‘Could that be true? He said it for a reason?’ She asked herself. Her eyes bashed on the road filled with cars and brake lights.
  • ‘What fucking reason does he have? It can’t exceed the fact that I’m a slum girl. And he fucking discovered I’m no match for him. It can’t go beyond that. Men like Lucas can’t be trusted. They are evil.’
  • ‘No amount of reason is enough to justify his acts. Lucas broke you six years ago. He fucking shattered your mind and heart. But now is the best time to exert revenge. Revenge back in spades, Sia.” Her mind told her and Sia shook her head ‘yes.’
  • Minutes later, the driver reached their estate and began skidding down the driveway. Sia’s eyes unknowingly ran across the rearview mirror and she spotted Danika, driving toward her with anger written all over her face.
  • Seeing that, Sia’s mind suddenly swell with questions.
  • ‘Does she live in this estate?’
  • ‘Who's looking to see?’
  • ‘No, she doesn’t live here. That means, she’s looking for one person and that’s me.’ Sia gasped at the realization.
  • ‘Fucking hell. She wants to know my real identity. Shit!! I can’t let that happen.’ Sia tightened her fist, suggestions swirling her mind on how best to avoid Danika.
  • When the driver pulled into the estate. Sia instructed him to stop.
  • She rolled down her window and beckoned on the security guards who approached her in one fluid motion.
  • “Good evening, ma’am.” They greeted, smiling.
  • Sia returned their smile with hers.
  • “How are you doing? Hope work is going well?” She asked kindly.
  • The guards nodded in unison.
  • “Great. Here take this.” She handed each of them three hundred dollar note and they gasped in surprise.
  • “Ma’am, tell us what you want.” One of the guards said, happily.
  • Huffing, Sia began. “There’s a car driving down the road now. It’s black in color and two women are inside. I want you to mark their faces and never let them enter into this estate no matter what. Can you do that?” she asked.
  • “That, we’ll make sure of ma’am. We won’t allow her in this estate.” The guards assured and Sia sighed in relief.
  • “Awesome. Thanks.” She said lastly and instructed the driver to move.
  • Immediately after Sia’s car left, Danika swerve toward the estate’s gate but the security stopped her and signaled for her to wriggle her window down.
  • “Good evening ma’am.” One of the security greeted when he leaned forward . The other guard circled around the car, inspecting it.
  • With a scowl Danika asked, “how may I help you?”
  • Disdain oozed from her words and expression. The security guard wasn’t fazed. He has seen people like Danika a lot in the estate so he shoved his bitter expression aside.
  • “Ma we know who you want to visit?” He asked.
  • Danika swiveled her head back and glanced at Isabel who was as shocked as she is.
  • ‘Mentioning who she wants to visit was never part of the plan.’ Isabel thought.
  • A friend mine. She lives here.” Danika said, sighing.
  • “Her name please?” The second guard asked.
  • “What’s the meaning of this? Am I supposed to clue you in on who I’m supposed to visit before I’m allowed in? Do you who I am?” Danika sparked.
  • ‘Now, ‘do you know who I am’ is Danika’s new mantra. How many times will she say this in one fucking day!’ Isabel nagged, rolling her eyes in her head.
  • “I’m sorry, ma’am, we are just doing our job.” Said one of the security men.
  • “And your job is to get the hell out of my way.” She commanded.
  • To Danika’s surprise, one of the security guards pressed the remote in his hand and the gate of the estate instantly glided to a close.
  • “What!?” She bashed her eyes at them and they shrugged.
  • “Sorry missy…you’re not allowed in. You disobeyed us and one of our rules. Please leave this premises.” The guard who closed the gate said.
  • To say Danika was annoyed is an understatement, she was flabbergasted. She jabbed her fist on the steering wheel and roared.
  • “What’s with this rule breaking shit today!!!” she howled, twiddling her hair backward.
  • She spat at the security and then ignited her gas pedal. Angrily, she drove away from the vicinity.
  • Danika arrived at Evangelista’s villa with heart ridden with anger. She hastily alighted from the car and made a beeline into the house to the kitchen.
  • When she passed by the dining Danika saw Lucas having his dinner alone but cared so little about him neither did she greet.
  • “Get me a glass of water now.” She ordered the servant in the kitchen and she scampered around, filled a glass of water and served it to Danika who was heaving as though she’s having a heart attack.
  • After downing the cold glass of water, Danika heaved a long sigh. She turned on her heels and headed back to the dining.
  • When she drew closer Lucas was just about to finish his food.
  • “So you didn’t bother to check up on me and here you’re eating without me. What kind of a fiancé are you?” She said and sank into the seat close to Lucas.
  • The sight of Danika made Lucas lose his appetite.
  • Cursing under his breath, Lucas dropped his utensil on the platter with a loud clatter.
  • “Must you really ruin my moments, Danika? I was just having a good meal before you showed up!” He banged his fist on the table, not locking eyes with Danika.
  • “I never knew my presence could make someone lose their appetite. Especially someone like you…” She laughed dryly.
  • Lucas swiftly clamped on the glass of water and gulped it. He stood up from the seat, picked his phone and headed for the flight of stairs.
  • “The slum girl might have a big sugar daddy…” Danika blurted.
  • Hearing those words, Lucas halted on his tracks knowing that Danika was referring to Sia.
  • “People like her are carriers of STDs. Who knows how many men she fucked to climb the ladder of success.” Danika chuckled when she saw Lucas turning to face her.
  • “What do you mean?” Lucas’s baritone voice boomed.
  • Squinting her eyes at Lucas she mused, “just saying what I fucking observed. She can’t be anything less than a whore…”
  • Lucas wanted to counter Danika’s words but he knew this is just another trap she had set to get him. Instead of bickering with her, he chuckled and ascended the stairs, leaving Danika with her thoughts.
  • When Lucas was out of sight, Danika’s mind replayed the events of the day.
  • Do you know the woman you’re fucking threatening?”
  • Estrella’s words boomed in her ears first.
  • Then her mind flickered the image of Sia’s uniform driver and the Bentley.
  • “That girl is something else. Never have any of these rule breaking shit happen to me. And I was fucking barred from entering two places today!” She pushed her brows together, mind deep in thought.
  • “Did she have a hand in this?” She asked. The cocky smile on Sia’s face when Amos instructed the guards to throw her out thrummed in her mind.
  • “That slum girl is something else. Something I need to expose . I assume she has a hand in all that happened today. She does.” She mouthed, grinding her teeth.
