Chapter 34 Embarrassment
- Danika’s feet thrummed on the marble floor as she advanced toward them. When she skidded to a halt, she pulled her sunnies off her face and her lip cracked in a smile.
- “The slum girl.” Danika gushed scanning Sia from head to toe. “What’s a slum girl like you doing in such an upscale restaurant? Can you afford a cup of coffee here?” She chuckled.
- Danika waved at Isabel who stood a few feet away from them watching the show to hand her purse over.
- Sia and Estrella stared at her in silence, waiting to see what she'll do. However, a slight smirk settled on Sia’s lips.
- Danika opened her purse, showcasing the dollar notes inside to Sia.
- “To eat here costs bundles of dollars which I’m sure you don’t have.” She rolled her eyes disdainfully. “How many rounds did you go with your sugar daddy to get the money you came here with? Two rounds, three rounds, or four? I bet you’re so sore right now." She huffed.
- Sia didn’t move her lips, she just crossed her hand over her chest while listening to Danika’s babble.
- “You don’t have to indulge in sex to make money and eat here. I've told you to work for me. Be my servant that cleans my poo after using the toilet or work as a staff in my big boutique just like Isabel, here.” She paused and pointed at Isabel who smiled sheepishly.
- Seeing the sheepish smile thrown at them, Estrella shook her head.
- ‘She’s using the girl as her maid. What nonsense.’ Estrella said Insides her.
- “You see…I might even be merciful and bring you to have lunch with me if you work for me, just like I brought Isabel to have a taste of the dish here. There’s so many benefits you can derive when you work as my servant than being a cheap whore that fucks men for twenty dollar paycheck.” Danika said with a cocked brow and a toothy smile.
- Snorts, Sia unfold her arms and began curling her spaghetti in her fork and Estrella did the same.
- “I can see you practically need a servant. A handmaid that flushes your shit when you poo and brush your teeth when you get your ass off your bed. Why don’t you use your mother or siblings as your servant then?” Sia said nonchalantly while stuffing food in her mouth.
- Sia’s words angered Danika and she flared up, “How dare you mention my mother in this? Do you know who she is…huh? You practically mentioned one of the richest women in the states. How dare you?” Danika barked, twiddling her hair strand behind her ears.
- Sia let out shrieks of laughter at Danika’s words. She turned to Estrella and asked, “Did she say one of the richest women in the state?”
- “So I heard…” Estrella sneered, glancing at Danika up and down in contempt. “Who made her that if I may ask?” She asked Danika who was fuming with anger.
- Bashing her eyes at Estrella, Danika curved her lips and gushed, “money did. My family has money. We swim in money. We have powers to even take your stupid fiancé’s business down…” She turned her gaze to Sia and gushed. “And you. We can snuff you out within minutes. Don’t underestimate what I can do.” She let out a gale of laughter.
- However, Sia and Estrella didn’t find any hint of humor in her words.
- “You threaten to kill me?” Sia asked.
- “That’s just a warming, slum girl. So you know your boundaries and not to mess with me. I warn you.” Danika rasped out.
- She turned her back on Sia and Estrella and attempted to head to an empty table when Estrella angrily stoop from her seat. The sudden impact sends the seat flying across the floor with a thud.
- “Do you know who Sia is? Do you know the woman you’re fucking threatening?” Estrella barked and everyone in the restaurant turned their attention to them.
- “What’s happening there?” Sia could hear people muttering amongst themselves.
- “Hey girlfriend, it’s okay. Sit down. Okay?” She said to Estrella in order to calm her down and not create a scene.
- Estrella drove her eyes at Sia who gestured for her to sit.
- Meanwhile, Danika gravitated back to their table. She picked up Sia’s glass of wine and began pouring it on Sia’s hair.
- “I know who she is. She’s the slum girl trying to seduce my fiancé. She’s nobody other than a whore.” Danika said and dropped the glass on the table after pouring the whole content on Sia.
- Sia was too shocked to even speak. She dropped her eyes down on her sundress which was wet and reeked of alcohol. Her damp hair stuck to her face and her mouth was agape as she tried to process what Danika just did.
- Estrella on the other hand sprang up from her seat and tugged Danika’s hair in frenzy. She sends her hand across her cheek, hitting her harshly twice in the face.
- “Some shits can be ignored but not this!” Estrella routed bashing her eyes at Danika.
- “How dare you hit me!?” Danika asked, her hand plastered on her aching cheek.
- “You dare hit me!!” She barked again. “Security! Security!!” She began shouting and before long, three burly men stepped into the restaurant amidst the chaos.
- “What’s happening?” One of the security guys asked.
- Sia muted unwilling to display her powers in the public to avoid raising alarm or drawing others' attention especially now that her plans are yet to be carried out.
- “This stupid woman hit me!” Danika said, pointing at Estrella. “Throw them out!” She commanded.
- As the security guards tried to make a move, Amos’ voice sounded.
- “Stop right there.” Amos worded and the burly men halted and diverted their eyes to Amos.
- Amos sucked in a breath of air and drove his gaze around Danika’s body, sneering.
- “One of the rules in ‘Anything For Macalista’ is to never incite chaos and you ma’am violated that by picking a fight. And for that, you won’t be allowed to dine here until after ninety days.” Amos announced, taking Danika and others in the restaurant by surprise.
- Estrella glanced at Sia with a shock-ridden face and mouthed, “is this real?”
- Sia smiled and gave her a slight nod.
- “Wonderful!” Estrella said under her breath.
- “Who are you to stop me from dining here for ninety days?” Danika asked impetuously.
- “I’m the chief chef here and that’s rule number two,” Amos answered, he snapped his fingers and one of the guards stepped forward. “Take a picture of her. And paste it at the entrance so everyone will see that she violated a rule. After that, throw her out.”
- After saying this, Amos turned and headed back into the kitchen while Danika shouted and barked like a mad dog.
- The security guard followed Amos' instructions. Two of them held Danika in place and the other took a picture of her. When they finished taking the picture, they dragged Danika out of the restaurant.
- “You'll pay for this!!” Danika shouted to no one in particular as they pushed her outside.
- Estrella stared in awe as a grin took over her features. Turning back to Sia, she huffed and said. “That’s one hell kick-ass rule. Serves fools like her right.” They both giggled.
- Meanwhile, Danika was outraged making her kick her car tires like a demented woman.
- “How dare she slap me? How dare he throw me out of the restaurant? Doesn’t he know who I am!?” She turned to Isabel and asked, her face turning red from rage.
- “Um…Danika, there’s nothing you can do about it. You violated a rule.” Isabel spewed, drawing back so Danika doesn’t slap her face out of anger.
- “You!!” Danika raised her hand to slap Isabel but she held back. “You think I violated a rule when she’s the one that slapped me!” She screamed, running her hands through her hair while gritting her teeth, hard.
- “I’m so sorry, Danika. I think we should go.” Isabel suggested. She gently opened the driver’s seat for Danika but she shook her head fiercely.
- “I need to find out who that bitch claims the slum girl is. I have to find out who the hell she is and put her in her place.” Danika wheezed through gritted teeth.
- “You do? But how will you know?” Isabel asked in bewilderment.
- Squinting her eyes Danika chirped, “Spying.” She shrugged.
- “Oh, I see…” Isabel whispered.
