- The first thing I feel is cold. A biting, cruel cold that creeps into my bones and gnaws at the edges of my consciousness. My body shifts slightly, and the ache in my limbs flares as I stir awake. A heavy grogginess weighs down my mind like a thick fog—I can barely remember how I got here.
