Chapter 11
- Jason’s POV
- I walk with purpose, my strides long and deliberate as Derrick leads us past the brick houses of our pack. The scent of the pack’s market reaches me first, a mix of spices, fresh bread, and wolves. The sounds of chatter, laughter, and the rhythmic clang of metal echo in the distance, but I pay little attention to them. My mind is focused on the task ahead.
- There’s something that’s been gnawing at me for days, something I can’t quite shake. My pack has been in turmoil ever since we found Katherine, and it’s only getting worse. The whispers grow louder, the rumors more intense. But today, I’m not interested in the petty gossip. I’m interested in answers.
