• Katherine’s POV
• I woke up to the sound of whispering voices around me. I recognized the voices. My mates. Jason. Michael. James. There was tension in the air even before I could make sense of their words. My body felt heavy, my mind still a little hazy from the aftereffects of my heat, but the feeling of anxiety began to creep in when I caught a snatch of their conversation.
• "I told you this would happen, Michael," Jason’s voice was harsh, sharp, with an edge of frustration that wasn’t usually there. "One of your damn nurses leaks the truth about Katherine having four mate bonds, and now look at this mess."
