• Jason’s POV
• The room was shrouded in silence; at last, we were alone. Katherine was in her wolf form, stunning. Her wolf glared at me, bearing her teeth aggressively. Her impatience was clear in every muscle twitch, every quick breath, and every whip of her tail. She didn’t trust me, her wolf barely recognized me in my human form. Not like this, when she was in heat and disoriented She was fighting for control, on the brink of utter chaos.
