• Katherine’s POV
• I woke up slowly, feeling warm. I blinked, allowing my environment to sharpen into clarity. Jason was stretched out to my left, his arm was wrapped around my waist protectively. To my right, James was perched up a bit. He wasn’t fully asleep, just staring at me. Michael turned, snuggling closer while he slept. They all looked happy and satisfied. I loved it.
• They encircled me like I was a delicate gem and they were the dragons meant to guard it.
