• It’s been several days since we arrived at Fernando and Celin’s house, and I still haven’t fully adapted, even though she does everything possible to make me feel comfortable. She introduced me to the friends she talked so much about. They are very nice, especially Isabella, and I was amazed to meet their husbands; all of them look like they came out of magazines. To say they are handsome is an understatement. Cassandra told me that I have to get used to it because all the men around them are this beautiful, and she is the most spontaneous one among them.
• I can see now that Celin was right when she said she would be the one to teach me how to deal with men. Her husband seems like a sweet puppy eating out of her hand, despite looking so threatening. If learning to be like her will teach me how not to let anyone mess with me, then I welcome every lesson. Among other things, they all chipped in to get me a small new wardrobe, as I came with nothing. I left everything I had at the home of that egotistical troglodyte. But I swear one day I will be able to repay Fernando and his wife for everything they have done for me without knowing me very well. They reached out to me in an honest way when they didn’t have to.
