• Filled with anger, I returned to my office and slammed the door shut. I feel nothing but pity for Claudia, but it also bothers me that they try to belittle her in front of me. Whether the whole world likes it or not, she is my wife, and regardless of the circumstances, I will defend her name against anyone. It’s not just about looking good in front of others because I couldn’t care less about what others think of me. However, her opinion of me does matter a lot.
• Still, far from that, I feel like she has never had someone to defend her. I see her as so fragile despite the fighter she appears to be. I won’t deny that her way of calling me a “troglodyte” amuses me and piques my interest in her. I know I said a moment ago that I would stay away from her, but now that I think about it, maybe I can approach her and try to make this marriage farce a reality.
