• The sedation has already started to decrease; apparently, the inflammation has completely subsided and no longer poses any risk. On the other hand, some completely unknown people are in the waiting room, waiting for me to inform them about Mr. Mobasseri’s health. Mrs. Clara tells me that they are the old friends of my husband. But what are they doing here? Who informed them about Richard’s situation? How should I present myself in front of them? I don’t want more people to see me as the wife, especially when the topic of separation is on the table between him and me.
• “In a couple of days, he should be fully conscious. For now, the sedation dose has been reduced, and it’s up to his brain to regain control of his functions,” the doctor informs me, pulling me out of my thoughts.
