Chapter 14
- Richard
- I still can’t believe that Claudia left like that, without letting me explain things to her, but I can’t keep holding her against her will. I did it for too long; maybe I had the vague hope that when the time came she would listen to me and understand the reasons why I did everything the way I did. Although I perfectly understand her position, now all I can do is wait for her to want to talk, as I asked her to.
- However, I have to wait for her to decide to come; I know where she is, and there was no way I was going to let her leave without knowing exactly where she would be. My men will take care of her discreetly so she doesn’t feel overwhelmed. I don’t want her to think I’m stalking or pressuring her. For now, it’s better that I go see what Sabrina wants because I’m sure it’s not just a simple apology. I know her pathetic act by heart; I don’t understand how I got involved with her, knowing how materialistic she is.
