• Despite my desire to hate him with all my might, I just can’t. Far from that arrogant and egotistical side of him that makes me want to kill him, I have realized that he’s not as bad as I imagined. Well, I can’t assume that just because he practically saved my life. Mrs. Clara has told me a little more about him, at least something different from what she had always told me. Now I know he’s an orphan and that the lady who affected him at the party is actually the only family he has left. Now I understand why when Mrs. Clara announced the event she warned me that very important people and his family would be present, which confused me at first as I had not been introduced to any of them at that moment.
• Perhaps he has suffered a lot and that’s why he acts that way. I have read that people create armor around themselves to prevent further harm, but there’s always a crack, a small hole to enter. But the question now is: do I want to enter that heart? Maybe I will never fully penetrate it; however, it is possible that I can help him manage his feelings better. After all, I have also suffered a lot throughout my life. Knowing that I was despised by my own family, who loved my sister more than me, then rejected by those same people who should have loved me when my younger sister died, to finally be sold to a stranger who suddenly became the only family I have left.
