Chapter 26
- Claudia
- I decided to wait until I was far away to call Isabel and tell her that I had left. If I had done it before, I am sure she would have made too big of a drama and not let me go. I love her very much, but she tends to be a bit selfish from time to time, even though she claims a thousand honest reasons. I asked Fernando and Celin to help me so that Richard doesn’t know where I am. From experience, I know he always has someone watching me. So, after being dropped off at a shopping center the morning after I found out that my husband has a wife and that I sneaked away, I find myself boarding a fabulous private jet incognito, with the promise that no one will know I am leaving at this moment, and I do not plan to return.
- I have never flown. In fact, I have never traveled from one city to another, let alone left the country. Although if I could, I would go as far away as possible from that egomaniac troglodyte, but I have to settle for the help they provide me until I can become independent. I snap out of my thoughts when the elegance of the plane captures all my attention. The seats are upholstered in beige synthetic leather, and they are arranged in a way that forms small living rooms with a table in the center. Fernando’s wife shows me all the space and indicates that I can rest in one of the two rooms if I wish. However, it seems rude to use them.
