Chapter 40
- I didn't care if I spoke in a dull monotone. I was just there to answer Parker's questions and backed up what Harvey said about the deadline. It was good that no one interrupted as I talked. I transferred my eyes to the three men as I explained my designs to them. Like my voice, my face was without any emotion. I ignored how Parker and Caleb were looking at me as they listened. They had different expressions in their eyes and faces. My ex's eyes were full of longing and his handsome face was gloomy. On the other hand, Caleb's eyes were narrowed and his lips were a thin line. A muscle was jerking in his jaw and he was poker-face.
- "Now if you don't have any more questions I have some things I need to do," I announced and I knew my voice was very cold.
- "Thank you Camille. That's all. I have no more questions," Parker said in a gentle voice while his eyes were fixated on me.
