• I heard his heavy sigh and I nibbled my bottom lip. For sure he was curious why I lied to him.
• "You don't need to hurry. I just feel a little sick," I said and I wasn't actually lying.
• I didn't feel well when Parker was here but I definitely felt better now so I would have to do a very good acting to convince Caleb that I was feeling ill because I didn't want to lose his trust. I frowned with the thought. I shook my head and erased what I was just thinking. I mustn't be emotionally invested in him since all this would be temporary and the ending could be something ugly. I winced when I thought about that.
