Chapter 28
- I had a deep slumber. It was the most peaceful sleep I ever had in years. I was awake but I kept my eyes shut. I couldn't help biting my bottom lip and winced a little when I changed position. I was now lying on my side. Indeed I felt the after-effect of last night but then a small smile appeared on my lips. The soreness I had now couldn't ruin the good memory of the pleasure and satisfaction Caleb had given me. What made it more special was that the feeling was mutual. I unclosed my eyes when I remembered him. I turned to the other side of the bed but I was alone. I frowned and checked the time. It was almost dusk. Where could he be? I sighed and carefully sat and rested my back against the headboard, covering my breasts with the sheet. I almost forgot that he wasn't Parker. He was more trustworthy so I shouldn't worry.
- Do you have that much faith and trust in him though you didn't really knew him that well? One side of my brain asked.
- Before I could contemplate on that, my eyes went to the door. My heart skipped a beat when I saw him. He was shirtless and was only in a pair of gray joggers. He was sporting his sexy grin and was looking at me with intensity. He didn't walk to the bed, instead he rested his right shoulder on the door frame and crossed his arms on his chest. He looked at me appreciatively and I felt my cheeks colored.
