Chapter 16

• "I was kidding. I don't want to rush you into anything. The idea just came up to me because as I said, you're not like some females... " he shook his head before leaning his back on the chair and took his glass of sparkling water to take a sip. His eyes were never leaving mine. He put down the glass again and folded his muscled arms on his broad chest.
• I shook my head and ran the tip of my tongue on my upper lip. His eyes narrowed as they went down to them. I swallowed and cleared my throat. I was a bit relieved when his eyes went up again. I didn't know which was better, his eyes on my lips or on my eyes. I could really drown in them if I weren't careful.
• "I guess we can give it a try," I replied and my voice sounded husky which wasn't intentional.
