Chapter 42 Acting High and Mighty Despite Asking for a Favor

• “You’re truly protective of the fairer sex, Young Master Tyler. Regretfully, however, this woman before you owes me plenty which she has yet to repay, so you should keep your protectiveness under wraps until she has repaid me in full!” Ethan smiled indifferently. “Lauren, come over here!”
• Ethan’s current state momentarily stunned Lauren before indescribable fear gripped her. After all, she naturally knew that such an expression from him was a precursor to a truly violent tempest. Ducking her head a fraction, she gritted her teeth before slipping down from Tyler’s arms and murmuring, “Thank you for saving me, Young Master Tyler. However, this is a grievance between me and Ethan Parker, so I don’t want to drag you into this mess.” After saying that, she slowly walked toward Ethan.
