Chapter 150 Lauren Was Taking Care of Tyler All Along!

• At the hospital ward in Cloudfall City, Lauren sat beside Tyler as she fixed her gaze upon him, afraid that some other terrible accident might happen if she took her eyes off him. However, the nurse entered the ward at that moment. She glanced at Lauren and said, “The doctor wants to meet a family member of the patient in his office; it’s about the patient’s condition!”
• “Alright, thank you!” Lauren stood up and gathered herself together before she rushed out of the ward. Coincidentally, Tyler woke up soon after she had left. He subconsciously frowned in response to the dull pain that he felt in his head as the anesthetic started to wear off. As he looked at his surroundings in a daze, Tyler took in the large but empty ward; it was clean and sterile, but the white walls were a little too bright for him. The sharp scent of alcoholic disinfectant made him feel oddly nauseous as well.
• He removed the oxygen mask from his face and strained to push himself up into a sitting position. Right then, Kate entered the room with a flask in her hand. “Don’t move, Tyler—let me help you up!” She quickly placed the flask down and went to his bedside before she carefully helped him up. As he leaned his back against the headboard, he got comfortable in his seat. Tyler’s face was pale and fatigued, but his eyes were sharp and clear as he said in a hoarse voice, “Why are you here?”
